This is a space to share the ever-evolving interests and talents as well as the ever-amazing, and often humorous ways of being, doing and saying of Mr. Miles Kahlo.
Fall 2010:
Miles is currently “all about”:
*things that move fast (particularly space vehicles like rockets and space shuttles)
*Ruby (he is enthralled with all she does and says and often quotes her right after she speaks)
*making and moving to music
*”Get me!” game (especially with Dad-they tickle and wrestle and repeat)
*building and fixing things (one finds tools and “invented tools” (like my eyelash curlers hooked to a stick attached to a ratchet) in the oddest places)
*pouting and yelling, “NEVER!” He say the v like a b… So it sounds like “neber mom!” A reply we frequently get to anything from, “Are you turning 3 today?” or “You want to sit on the potty?” and “Time for bed.” It’s funny the first few times….no longer.
*”No you are!” “No, you’re messy, Dad!” “No, you’re silly, Ruby!” “No, you big boy, Mom!” His trademark retort.
*running, falling and climbing stuff (check out a recent closeup to see his several battle wounds)
*turning ANYTHING into a rocket, I’ll record soon, but sounds something like: ppppppshhh, pvhoowoooooo…..
*being super funny and super sweet
Winter 2010/2011:
With a new year, comes new “isms”…So, in addition to his fall past times, here are snapshots in prose as to what Miles is “into” these days…
*Scooby Doo! He often quotes various episodes and then cracks himself up; and, I say this with a heavy (and guilty) heart, is presently obsessed with “episodes and movies”. I believe this is due to the frequency of intense colds and coughs lately (excuses, excuses).
*Puzzles. Miles can often be found constructing puzzles and enjoys deconstructing them quickly after; only to rebuild and re-break!
*Miles must run warm; maybe really hot. My theory is supported with the following evidence: 1. He always wants to wear shorts (blizzard conditions, fancy winter party, you name it). 2. Short sleeves are his preference (anytime, anywhere). 3. Sweatshirts are “yucky” and unnecessary, according to Miles. 4. The suggestion of a coat or warm vest is not only poo-pooed by Miles, but powerfully argued against. 5. If he could, he would wear sandals all year. The dude must be a furnace…..

OH MY GOODNESS- all those pictures were so cute!!!!!! The No ______, statements. The winking picture. I laughed my head off in the one of him in a dress of Rubies- that is so hilarious because he so chubby, and his hari is longer, so he just looks like a cute little chubbyy girl, so hilarious. I can just imagine them thinking they are so funny. I love how he worships Ruby, quoting her. love all the isms. al those pictures are soooo cute- I looked at them over and over again, and had to pause it so I could stare at them forever- LOVE that winking one. love you!
